Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and apparatus for sending and receiving a signal in a communication network, and a computer storage medium. The method according to an embodiment comprises: sending signals through multiple transmission beams in an uninterruptible signal transmission duration, the signals comprising a synchronization signal (SS), a main information block (MIB) transmitted through a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) and additional system information related to initial access of the communication network. The additional system information may comprise at least one of a residual minimum system information (RMSI) message and scheduling information of the RMSI message. By using embodiments of the present disclosure, signals can be flexibly sent, the channel utilization rate can be improved, and/or the probability of the initial access can be improved.
