Abstract:
To efficiently store electric power in a storage battery, a control device turns on and off switches of the power source and the storage battery to intermittently control the driving force of the drive motor (5) mounted on the permanent magnet type generator (X), the operation of the clutch mechanism (6) and the resistance state of the stator winding (24) around the annular permanent magnetic portion (16) of the flywheel rotating body (10) of the permanent magnet type generator. When the drive motor (5) is rotating, the clutch mechanism (6) is engaged to rotate the flywheel rotating body (10) by the driving force of the drive motor (5) and, at the same time, the stator winding (24) is set to a no-load state to temporarily stop storing electricity in the storage battery (53). When the drive motor (5) is at rest, the clutch mechanism (6) is disengaged to disconnect the output shaft (5a) of the drive motor (5) from the rotating shaft (11) of the flywheel rotating body (10) and the stator winding (24) is set to a loaded state by utilizing the kinetic energy of the flywheel rotating body (10) that is rotating at high speed by inertia to store electricity in the storage battery (53).
