Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention is a method for switching operating modes, an access point being connected to N Internet of Things terminal sets, the N Internet of Things terminal sets corresponding to N types, each Internet of Things terminal set respectively corresponding to M energy saving trigger conditions, M being a positive integer, and N being an integer greater than 1, and comprising: detecting whether the operating state of an Internet of Things terminal connected to an access point satisfies an energy saving trigger condition; when detecting that the operating state of an Internet of Things terminal i connected to the access point satisfies Y energy saving trigger conditions corresponding to the Internet of Things terminal i, controlling the Internet of Things terminal i to switch to a power saving mode corresponding to one of the energy saving trigger conditions amongst the Y energy saving trigger conditions, Y being a positive integer. Also provided in the embodiments of the present invention is an apparatus for switching the operating modes of an Internet of Things terminal. The embodiments of the present invention can increase the service life of the Internet of Things terminal.
