Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and apparatus for synchronization of bearer information during handover, relating to handover techniques in long term evolution networks. The method comprises: during handover, a source mobile management entity acquiring evolved packet system bearer information of a source evolved Node B by communicating with the source evolved Node B; the source mobile management entity comparing the evolved packet system bearer information of the source evolved Node B with evolved packet system bearer information saved by the source mobile management entity; when the evolved packet system bearer information of the source evolved Node B is inconsistent with the saved evolved packet system bearer information, the source mobile management entity enabling the evolved packet system bearer information thereof to be consistent with the evolved packet system bearer information of the source evolved Node B. The present invention realizes synchronization of the evolved packet system bearer information of the source evolved Node B, the source mobile management entity and a source serving gateway, thus the success rate of handover is improved.
