Abstract:
Disclosed is a method, apparatus and system for maintaining a serving RL, relating to the field of mobile communication systems. The method comprises: when reconfiguring an established DPA/UPA non-serving RL of a user terminal as a DPA/UPA serving RL, a base station determining, according to a macro diversity indication from an RNC, whether the user terminal is in a macro diversity state; if the base station determines that the user terminal is in the macro diversity state, reporting an RL recovery message to the RNC, so that the DPA/UPA serving RL falls into a macro cell; and after the DPA/UPA serving RL falls into the macro cell, the base station determining whether to send an RL failure message to the RNC by determining whether the synchronization of the RL is lost and whether the state of the user terminal changes. The embodiments of the present disclosure are able not to report a failure when the condition for reporting a failure is satisfied, so that a serving RL of a DPA/UPA user terminal in an unbalanced uplink and downlink macro diversity scenario remains stable.
