Abstract:
Provided are a method, apparatus and system for switching an access point, which relate to the technical field of communications, and which are used for enabling an electronic device to sense a congestion level of an uplink of an access point accessed by the electronic device, in order to preferentially choose an access point with a superior uplink quality to perform switching, thereby restoring the Internet surfing experience. The solution is applied to a first electronic device that accesses a first access point, and comprises: receiving a first message, which comprises a first information element, from a first access point, wherein the first information element is used for indicating the state of a first uplink of the first access point, the state of the first uplink comprising a congestion level of the first uplink when same is in a normal state, or an abnormal state; determining that the congestion level of the first uplink is greater than or equal to a first preset congestion level, or the state of the first uplink is the abnormal state; and preferentially switching from the first access point to a second access point.
