Abstract:
Provided are a method, apparatus and system for transmitting a live video, the method comprising: an M2U device receiving a UDP request which is sent by a client, comprises a live channel identifier and is used for requesting video data of a live channel corresponding to the live channel identifier, with the live channel identifier comprising a multicast address or a URL, and acquiring the video data corresponding to the live channel identifier; the M2U device acquiring a source IP address and a source port of the UDP request to serve as a destination IP address and a destination port for subsequently sending a UDP unicast packet to the client; and after receiving multicast video data corresponding to the UDP request, the M2U device modifying a multicast destination IP address and destination port into the acquired unicast destination IP address and destination port of the client, and sending the video data to the client in a UDP unicast manner. In the present invention, there is no need to perform protocol conversion on video data, and the video data is directly sent through hardware forwarding in a UDP unicast manner, so that the throughput capacity of an M2U device can be effectively improved.
