METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM FOR UPGRADING ADAPTER

The embodiments of the present invention provide an adapter upgrade method and apparatus, said method comprising: by means of a data cable in the charging interface of the adapter, the adapter receiving upgrade data in universal asynchronous receiver/transmitter (UART) format, sent by a converter; the converter is used for converting the upgrade data in universal serial bus (USB) format, sent by a personal computer (PC) terminal, to upgrade data in UART format, and sending to the adapter the upgrade data in UART format; by means of an internal micro control unit (MCU), the adapter processing the upgrade data in UART format and upgrading the adapter. In the embodiments of the present invention, the upgrade data of the PC terminal is downloaded to the MCU of the adapter, thus adjusting the operating mode of the adapter and accomplishing the upgrade of the adapter. In contrast to the prior art, wherein the operating mode of an adapter is adjusted by changing the adapter hardware, The solutions provided by the embodiments of the present invention accomplish with more flexibility the adapter upgrade, while also effectively reducing production costs.
