Abstract:
A method and apparatus for a game in a chat interface, used for a user to rapidly switching to a game mode in the chat interface. The method comprises: in a chat interface of an instant chat tool, when a game mode is triggered, calling a game program corresponding to the game mode in the chat interface (S101), the chat interface being a conversation interface between a current user and one or more users other than the current user of the instant chat tool on a terminal device, and the game mode being a mode of presenting the game for user interactions in the chat interface; when the game program is terminated, obtaining a first game result from the game program (S102); and transmitting the first game result as an instant chat message to the user or more users corresponding to the chat interface (S103). The method can prevent chat interruption when the user exists the instant chat tool to open a corresponding game program, and thereby add fun to the instant chat process.
