Abstract:
A method, apparatus and terminal for fingerprint identification. The method for fingerprint identification comprises: a fingerprint acquisition step (S10):acquiring a fingerprint image, and extracting a fingerprint feature value from the fingerprint image; a template selection step (S20):selecting an active template from a template database, and extracting a feature value of the active template, wherein fingerprint templates are all marked with the number of times of successful matching, and the active template is the one marked with the highest number of times of successful matching among the fingerprint templates; and a matching step (S30):comparing the fingerprint feature value with the feature value of the active template; and if the matching fails, returning to execute the template selection step, and if the matching is successful, adding one to the number of times of successful matching marked on the active template, so that the speed of fingerprint identification is improved.
