Abstract:
A method and apparatus for transmitting coexistence message, which transmit the coexistence message by main subframe of BS. A terminal unit is disclosed, which receives the signal from a neighbor BS, during the main subframe of a non-serving BS; extracts coexistence message of neighbor BS from received management message correctly in main subframe of neighbor BS; according to the reporting mechanism of coexistence message, reports the coexistence message to a serving BS. Since the coexistence message is transmitted during the main subframe of BS in the present invention, it's not necessary to design specific transmitting format, such that it's simple to realize and occupies less air-interface resourses.
