Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for tracking a location by using a clustering scheme. The method for tracking a location, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: maintaining a database in which a radio map including include information on wireless signal strength for each location and a clustering table are stored, wherein the clustering table comprises cluster information on a plurality of clusters divided according to the signal strength for each network repeater, and the plurality of clusters are mapped to coverage areas corresponding to respective clusters; receiving identification information on a network repeater and a wireless signal including the strength of a signal corresponding to the network repeater; selecting a candidate area to be matched with the received wireless signal by using the clustering table; and determining a final location in the candidate area by using the radio map.
