Abstract:
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for transmitting an association identifier. The method comprises: an AP sends a random access triggering frame; after receiving the random access triggering frame, a STA sends an association request frame on a first subchannel; and the AP returns confirmation information according to the association request frame, and carries, in the confirmation information, a Pre-AID allocated by the AP to the first subchannel. In this way, the STA can acquire a pre-AID first before the STA receives AID information in an association response frame.
