Abstract:
A method for wastewater treatment is provided by which a heavy-metal compound derived from a process for producing an aromatic carboxylic acid can be efficiently recovered from a wastewater containing the heavy-metal compound. The method for wastewater treatment comprises bringing a wastewater derived from a process for producing an aromatic carboxylic acid into contact with a specific chelate resin to recover a heavy-metal compound from the wastewater with the chelate resin.
