Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application is a method for updating an application program on a client. The method comprises: initiating a service request to a service server; receiving service request response information returned by the service server, the service request response information comprising a version identifier of a first version of an application program on a client, and the first version being a lowest version allowed by the service server; and according to the service request response information, when the version identifier of the first version and a version identifier of a second version indicate that the second version is lower than the first version, updating the application program according to a third version, the second version being a version before the application program is updated, and the third version being not lower than the first version.
