Abstract:
A method for user authentication by an electronic device is provided. The method includes storing a user interface (UI) hierarchy of one or more screens associated with an application, identifying a first screen presented by the electronic device as an authentication screen of the application based on at least one of the stored UI hierarchy, and UI elements of the one or more screens, and determining an authentication result based on a deviation of the first screen or presentation of a second screen by the electronic device.
