The invention relates to a method for using the waste heat produced during the operation of an annular anode furnace (10), which comprises at least a heating zone (11), a firing zone (12) and a cooling zone (13) and in which a hot-gas flow discharged from the annular anode furnace is used for controlling the temperature of a water flow (23) fed to a thermal power generator.
