Abstract:

Provided are a method and an apparatus for writing data to a cache. The method comprises: receiving a write IO request command, the write IO request command comprising metadata of to-be-written data; obtaining a first partner group from a global partner queue, and determining whether all the metadata of the to-be-written data can be written to the first partner group; and if yes, writing all the metadata of the to-be-written data to the first partner group, and writing all the metadata of the to-be-written data to a metadata chunk corresponding to a metadata group to which the first partner group belongs. In this way, the problem that Flash longevity is affected due to frequent metadata write to a Flash is resolved.
