Abstract:
A novel method of applying a castable refractory material by spraying, by which an application product of high-grade performance can be obtained. There is provided a method of applying a castable refractory material by spraying, characterized in that the method includes transporting by compressed air a powdery castable refractory composition containing a refractory aggregate, a refractory powder, a binder and a dispersant through a transport pipe; in the course of air transportation, adding a working water to the castable refractory composition through a water inlet to thereby obtain a wet castable refractory composition; feeding by compressed air a powdery quick setting agent through a quick setting agent inlet into the wet castable refractory composition along the direction of transportation of wet castable refractory composition at an angle of ≤ 85° with respect to the transportation direction; and spraying the resultant castable refractory composition.
