Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for assembling a power transmitting chain capable of reducing the number of assembling steps and improving work efficiency during assembling of a power transmitting chain including links of which pitch lengths differ from each other arranged in a random order. Specifically disclosed is a method for assembling a power transmitting chain which comprises a step of producing separable bodies (22, 23) of a chain by holding a required number of pins using a linear pin-holding jig and by press fitting a required number of links onto the pins; a step of aligning the separable bodies (22, 23) such that separable-body joining links (24, 25) disposed at either side of the separable bodies (22, 23) overlap with each other; a step of inserting pins (14A) into the separable-body joining links (24, 25) that overlap with each other; and a step of fixing the pins to pin fixing portions of the separable-body joining links by pulling both ends of the subassembly of the plurality of separable bodies (22, 23) joined to each other via the separable-body joining links (24, 25).
