Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to provide a method for assessing whether autonomous processing of construction waste is possible in a neutron generating facility, for example, a nuclear power plant. To this end, the present invention provides a method for assessing whether autonomous processing of construction waste is possible in a neutron generating facility, comprising the steps of: obtaining a construction sample from a neutron generating facility; quantifying the amount of elements in the sample; performing computer simulation with the content of the elements in the sample so as to assess the amount of radioactive stock at the time of facility demolition; setting a neutron irradiation condition so as to obtain the assessed amount of radioactive stock, thereby performing a radioactivation characteristics experiment for the sample; and determining, through the result of the radioactivation characteristics experiment, whether autonomous disposal of construction waste generated at the time of demolition of the neutron generating facility can be performed. According to the present invention, it can be assessed whether construction materials in a neutron generating facility, which has already been constructed, will become waste that can be autonomously disposed after facility demolition. Furthermore, according to the present invention, a certification method for materials received to be used for constructing a neutron generating facility can be provided on the basis of the criteria.
