Abstract:
Disclosed is the provision of a method for assisting the detection of pancreatic cancer, whereby it becomes possible to assist the highly accurate detection of pancreatic cancer. In the method for assisting the detection of pancreatic cancer, the amount of (1) miR-122-5p and the amount of (2) at least one type of miRNA selected from the group consisting of miR-16-5p, miR-19b-3p and miR-25-3p in a test sample separated from a living body are employed as measures. When the amount of miR-122-5p is larger than that in a normal person and the amount of the at least one type of miRNA selected from the group consisting of miR-16-5p, miR-19b-3p and miR-25-3p is smaller than that in a normal person, it is indicated that there is a high probability of developing pancreatic cancer.
