Abstract:
Provided is a method which is for attaching a heat insulating block to a furnace shell, and with which the block can be firmly fixed to the furnace wall and on-site workability is excellent without requiring time or cost for fabricating the heat insulating block. This method for attaching a heat insulating block to a furnace shell comprises: a step for inserting a beam of a fixing jig to the inner side of a fold of a folded inorganic fiber aggregate mat in a heat insulating block formed from the inorganic fiber aggregate mat; and a step for fixing the fixing jig and a furnace shell.
