Abstract:
The embodiments of the present application disclose a method for authenticating an access network device and a related device, which are used for determining whether an access network device communicating with a terminal device is a valid access network device. The method of the embodiments of the present application comprises: a terminal device sends an authentication request to an access network device, receives a first authentication request response in response to the authentication request at a first transmission time unit, and acquires first time window information in the first authentication request response. Since the first time window information can indicate a time range in which the terminal device receives the first authentication request response, when the terminal device determines that the first transmission time unit is located within the first time window indicated by the first time window information, the terminal device may determine that the access network device is a valid access network device. Therefore, the terminal device can be prevented from being connected to an invalid access network device, thereby preventing the terminal device from being subjected to a replay attack.
