Abstract:

Provided in embodiments of the present invention are a method and base station for cell clustering. The method comprises: acquiring initial information, where the initial information is used for expressing handover information between a serving cell and an adjacent cell or interference information between the serving cell and the adjacent cell, the adjacent cell is a cell adjacent to the serving cell, and the serving cell is a cell at where a first user equipment (UE) is located; acquiring an interference assessment metric between the serving cell and the adjacent cell; and, clustering the serving cell and the adjacent cell on the basis of the interference assessment metric. The method and base station for cell clustering provided in the embodiments of the present invention can increase the performance of a communication system.
