Title:
METHOD OF BINDING WIRE NETTING TO A MINERAL WOOL MAT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1995/027095
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Wire netting mats are used in many areas of fire, heat and sound-proofing technology. Wire netting is sewn to a mineral wool mat by means of a binding wire which is guided per seam in a backstitch in each case forming a loop through the mineral wool mat and the wire netting. In order to avoid the backstitched seams becoming undone during rough handling on building sites, i.e. to ensure that the wire netting and the mineral wool mat are permanently connected, according to the invention, when the backstitched seam has been sewn in the region of the lower and/or upper large surface of the mineral wool web the binding wire is mechanically deformed in steps so that the backstitched seam is prevented from becoming undone.
