Abstract:
A method for obtaining sclerenchyme fibres that are suitable for the production of textile products for fibre-reinforced materials, paper, cardboard and non-wovens. The fibres are liberated from accompanying substances such as pectin by means of biological or biochemical processes, thereby making them fit for spinning and providing them with a fibre-matrix adherence capacity and a hydrogen-bridging ability for the production of paper and cardboard.
