Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method of broadband access device for controlling DHCP relay user, in the application layer of TCP/IP, modifying the protocol data field of all DHCP interactive data packets between DHCP relay agent and DHCP client and DHCP server during the DHCP interactive stage, which enables all of the DHCP interactive data packets interacted between said client and said server to get through said relay agent. The present invention can achieve controlling and managing the interactive process of the DHCP client and external DHCP server expediently, varying the network configuration parameter of DHCP user, and performing detection upon DHCP user online, etal, according to the requires of user management strategy; also, the present invention requires the process within the application layer of TCP/IP only to accomplish the purpose of predetermined control management.
