Abstract:

Provided is a method for building a coke oven efficiently by stacking regular-sized refractories with high accuracy and reducing workers' burden without using large module bricks. This method for building a coke oven for renewal or new construction of the coke oven comprises: a block fabricating step of fabricating a block by stacking a plurality of regular-sized refractories in a place other than the building site of the coke oven; a block transporting step of transporting the block to the coke oven building site; a mortar applying step of applying mortar to a position for placing the block; and a block placing step of placing the block in the position to which the mortar has been applied. The length of the block in the longitudinal direction is a quarter to two-thirds of the length of the coke oven, and the height of the block is less than 2 m.
