Abstract:
A method for calculating the site width of a transverse compensation area, comprising the following steps: acquiring a vertical reference distance X; finding the angle θ between the rope and the horizontal plane; finding the width M of a loading apparatus; acquiring the horizontal distance N between a transverse compensation point and the shore; and calculating the site width of the transverse compensation area according to the following formula: L=ctgθ(X)-N+M, L being the site width of the transverse compensation area. The present method is tested in advance in order to measure the width of the transverse compensation area corresponding to the conditions of different hulls and docks, and then obstacles in the transverse compensation area are removed or raised, so that items transported by rope between a boat and a loading apparatus are not affected by the obstacles.
