Title:
METHOD FOR CALIBRATING AN IMAGE-CAPTURING SENSOR CONSISTING OF AT LEAST ONE SENSOR CAMERA, USING A TIME-CODED PATTERNED TARGET
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/220600
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for calibrating an image-capturing sensor consisting of at least one sensor camera, using a time-coded patterned target, said time-coded patterned target being displayed on a flat-screen display. A sequence of patterns is displayed on the flat-screen display and is captured by the at least one sensor camera as a series of camera images. An association of the pixels of the time-coded patterned target with the respective pixels captured in the camera images is carried out for a fixed position of the flat-screen display in the surroundings, or for at least two different positions of the flat-screen display in the surroundings, the sensor being calibrated by means of corresponding pixels. A gamma-correction is carried out, in which, before the time-coded patterned target is displayed, a gamma curve of the flat-screen display is captured in a random position and/or in each position of the flat-screen display, together with the recording of the sequence of patterns by means of the sensor, and is corrected.
