Abstract:

The invention relates to techniques for the organization of meetings and assemblies using ballot papers for secret votes. It may be used for any elections, polls and referendums that use ballot papers. The ballot paper contains an information storage medium containing general textual information as well as information about the voting choices. The ballot paper consists of two parts which are identical in meaning, each part containing identical information about the voting choices and having a space for an individual anonymous code allowing each voter to retrospectively check that his vote has been registered correctly after having received the results of voting. The ballot method consists of the voters receiving a ballot paper, filling it in, adding the same individual anonymous code to each part of the ballot paper and dividing the paper into two parts. One part is then put into a ballot box and other is used for checking the results of the vote.
