Abstract:

A method of changing an entity managing a subscriber authentication module and a device using same are disclosed. A method of changing a subscriber managing entity includes: receiving, by a subscriber authentication module, a credential temporary-change request message including a temporary credential from a first subscriber managing entity to temporarily change the credential; transmitting, by the first subscriber managing entity, a proxy request message for delegating the management of the subscriber authentication module to a second subscriber managing entity to request a proxy; and receiving, by the subscriber authentication module, a credential fixing request message based on the temporary credential from the second subscriber managing entity to fix a credential. Thus, by changing a credential in eUICC, it is possible to securely change a subscriber managing entity managing the eUICC and thus manage the eUICC built in a device effectively.
