Abstract:
The present application primarily relates to the field of card hardware design and discloses a method and circuit for protecting a PCIe card power supply, a device, and a medium. In the method, when a PCIe card is not completely inserted into a server slot, a first power supply and a second power supply are controlled to release electric energy; a controller is controlled to turn off a first MOS transistor according to a EV_PRSNT signal generated by the first power supply when releasing electric energy; a load is charged by means of electric energy released by the second power supply; once the card is completely inserted, a PRSNT# signal is generated according to a grounded PRSNT# pin; a second MOS transistor is controlled to be turned on, and the controller is controlled to turn on the first MOS transistor according to the PRSNT# signal; when the card is not completely pulled out, the second MOS transistor is controlled to be turned off; and the controller is controlled to turn off the first MOS transistor according to the EV_PRSNT signal. Compared to a traditional method for protecting a PCIe card power supply by means of a hot-plug chip, the present method does not need to use a hot-plug chip, and the cost of a PCIe card is reduced.
