Abstract:
The disclosed method for cleaning a membrane module (1), which filters water to be treated using a pressure difference, simultaneously performs, for at least a portion of the time prior to completion of the filtering process, an air-cleaning process of introducing a gas from the first side (1a) of the membrane module (1) and cleaning by means of gas bubbles; then, after continuing the air-cleaning process for a certain period after completion of the filtering process, starts a reverse pressure water cleaning process of discharging water to be treated from the first side (1a) of the membrane module (1) and supplying clean water from the second side (1b) of the membrane module (1); and for at least a portion of the time from when clean water starts to ooze into the first side (1a) of the membrane module (1) until the first side (1a) of the membrane module (1) is filled with clean water, performs the air-cleaning process. Provided thereby are a method for efficiently cleaning the membrane module (1) and a method for stably operating the membrane module (1) for long periods.
