Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for cleaning a portable electronic device provided with a housing having an opening, and a waterproof breathable (sound-transmitting) film fixed to an inside surface of the housing so as to block the opening, wherein the method for cleaning a portable electronic device comprises performing a step (II) for cleaning a surface of the electronic device using a first cleaning liquid including a surfactant, and a step (III) for supplying a second cleaning liquid including essentially no surfactant from the opening to the film and cleaning the film, the step (III) being initiated before a predetermined time td has elapsed after the step (II) is performed, and the second cleaning liquid being supplied in the step (III) so that a flow of the second cleaning liquid reaches the opening and the film is cleaned while the electronic device is retained in a state in which a normal vector P1 of an outside surface of the housing surrounding the opening is oriented in a horizontal direction H or further upward therefrom toward a vertical direction V.
