Abstract:
A method for a clothes drier to prompt the cleaning of a water storage box, and a clothes drier. A water return pipe (4) is connected between a water storage box (2) and a water tank (1), a water flow detection device (9) is mounted on the water return pipe (4), and when the water flow detection device (9) detects a water flow, an alarm is given to prompt a user to clean the water storage box (2). The water flow detection device (9) is mounted on the water return pipe (4) between the water storage box (2) and the water tank (1), and upon detecting the water flow passing through within the water return pipe (4), immediately determines that the water storage box (2) is full and gives the alarm to prompt the user that the water storage box (2) is full of water and requires cleaning. The present invention not only ensures timely prompting, but also effectively prevents false alarms.
