Title:
METHOD FOR CO-PRODUCING AND SEPARATING DIOL AND ORGANIC ACID
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/167525
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention belongs to the field of bio-engineering technology, and provides a method for co-producing and separating diols and organic acids. The characteristics are that the object of study is Klebsiella pneumoniae for producing diols through bio-converting glycerol or glucose, etc., using pressurized fermentation and fermentation adjustment with carbonates, pH - salting out and extraction - CO2 immobilization coupling to produce diols and organic acids; 1,3-propanediol and 2,3-butanediol are separated from lactic acid and succinic acid by a two-step salting out and extraction. The present invention can achieve the co-production of different diols and organic acids in the same culture system by controlling different fermentation conditions, and enhance the utilization of raw materials; and at the same time recycle carbon dioxide generated from tail gas in fermentation, and solve the common problem of carbon dioxide emission in the fermentation industry. The present invention establishes a new high-efficiency and low-cost process integrated with fermentation - separation - CO2 immobilization, and provides references for CO2 recycling and co-producing other chemicals.
