Abstract:
Provided is a method for collecting calibration data in a radiation tomographic apparatus capable of reliably collecting the calibration data even when a detector ring (12) is wide. In the method for collecting the calibration data in the radiation tomographic apparatus, the number of simultaneous events is acquired while a phantom (41) for applying a pair of annihilation gamma rays is moved so as to pass through the inner hole of the detector ring (12). Thus, the calibration data can be reliably collected without having to set the width of the phantom (41) to be equal to or larger than the width of the detector ring (12). The pair of annihilation gamma rays can be regarded as having been applied to the detector ring (12) with a uniform characteristic regardless of position, so that the calibration data more suitable for eliminating an artifact can be acquired.
