Abstract:

Provided are a method for collecting precious metals from a solution containing precious metal ions, an extractant or adsorbent used therefor, and a back extractant or a desorbent. Precious metals are obtained by subjecting a solution containing precious metal ions to reduction. The aforementioned solution is obtained by bringing an extractant that extracted the precious ions into contact with a back extractant or an adsorbent that adsorbed the precious ions into contact with a desorbent. The back extractant and desorbent contain a sulfur-containing amino acid derivative represented by general formula (I). (In the formula, R1 represents a methyl group, an ethyl group, a vinyl group, a C3-8 linear, branched or cyclic hydrocarbon group, or a C6-14 aromatic hydrocarbon group; each R2 independently represents a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, an ethyl group, a vinyl group, a C3-8 linear, branched or cyclic hydrocarbon group, or a C6-14 aromatic hydrocarbon group; and n represents a 0 or a 1.)
