Abstract:
Provided are a method of combining microalgae cultivation and industrial waste gas denitrification and a system using same. The method comprises the following steps: (1) cultivating microalgae; (2) separating the solution of microalgae obtained in step (1) into a wet microalgae (microalgae gel) and a cultivation liquid residue; (3) using the cultivation liquid residue obtained in step (2) to absorb and immobilize NOx to denitrify industrial waste gas, nutrients obtained from step (3) for immobilizing NOx providing a nitrogen source for the microalgae cultivation in step (1). During the process of microalgae cultivation, effective micro-organisms (EM) are added to the solution of microalgae, the microalgae being preferably chlorella, scenedesmus, monoraphidium, or spirulina. The system comprises, optionally from upstream to downstream, an NOx immobilizing unit, a microalgae cultivator, a separator, and a recycling line for recycling the cultivation liquid residue from the separator back upstream.
