Abstract:
A method for providing multicast service to roaming user includes steps: the roaming user originates multicast service access request; GPRS support node GGSN of the visited network originates multicast service authorization request to broadcast/multicast service center of the visited network based on the multicast service access request; the broadcast/multicast service center of the visited network interacts with the broadcast/multicast service center of the home network, one of the broadcast/multicast service centers authorizes the user; the broadcast/multicast service center of the visited network determines whether the roaming user is permitted to join in multicast group based on the authorization result. The present invention is also a broadcast/multicast service center and communication system.
