Abstract:
The invention relates to techniques of concentrating minerals, in particular phosphate ores, and can be used for concentrating calcium- and magnesium-containing ores of carbonate composition, the useful product (P2O5-containing phosphate concentrate) being separated out. The proposed process for concentrating phosphate raw material involves leaching out the carbonates (calcite and dolomite) by treating the crushed raw material with a microorganism culture liquid. The process is characterised in that use is made of a culture liquid of autotrophic microorganisms containing organic acids and having a pH value of 1.4-4.0. The processing is continued for 0.5-2.5 hours and the relative proportions of raw material and liquid culture are 1:5 to 1:15.
