Abstract:
A method for constructing a cylindrical tank having a metal inner tank and a concrete outer tank. This invention is provided with: a step for assembling a knuckle plate (9) on the inside of the outer tank; a step for providing a plurality of suspended parts (10b) to the knuckle plate (9); a step for providing, along the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface of the knuckle plate (9), a plurality of space keepers (11) protruding outwards from the outer peripheral surface; a step for providing a plurality of suspension parts on the side wall of the outer tank; a step for mounting a plurality of jack-up devices between the plurality of suspension parts on the side wall of the outer tank and the plurality of suspended parts of the knuckle plate (9); and a step for raising and lifting the knuckle plate (9) using the plurality of jack-up devices, mounting an inner tank side plate (7) below the lifted knuckle plate (9), and assembling the metal inner tank. The above configuration makes it possible to provide a method for constructing a cylindrical tank in which the outer tank and the roof side of the inner tank are prevented from breaking, even if the roof side of the inner tank becomes significantly displaced horizontally while being jacked up.
