Abstract:
A method for constructing a cylindrical tank having a metal inner tank and a concrete outer tank. This invention is provided with: a step for installing a side wall (3) of the outer tank partway up to a completion height; a step for assembling a ring-shaped knuckle plate (9) on the inside of the side wall (3); a step for installing the rest of the side wall (3) using suspended scaffolding (5); a step for providing a knuckle support (10) to the knuckle plate (9); a step for assembling jack-up device scaffolding (17) on the knuckle plate (9); a step for providing a suspended platform (18) on the side wall (3); a step for mounting a jack-up device (19) between the suspended platform (18) and the knuckle support (10); and a step for suspending the knuckle plate (9) using the jack-up device (19), mounting an inner tank side plate (7) below the knuckle plate (9), and assembling the inner tank. The above configuration makes it possible to provide a method for constructing a cylindrical tank in which it is easy to assemble a jack-up device or install structures such as a platform for holding the jack-up device.
