Abstract:
A method for constructing a double shell-structured cylindrical tank, said method involving assembling an inner vessel inside an outer vessel by alternately and repeatedly raising, by using a jack-up device, inner vessel side plates (9) and attaching the next inner vessel side plate (9) to the lower side of the raised inner vessel side plates (9). The method has: a step for providing a roller unit (100), which supports the inner vessel side plates (9), along the circumferential direction of the tank; a step for fixing an endless winch (12) to the inner vessel side plates (9); a step for providing a rope (121), which is pulled in by the endless winch (120), along the circumferential direction of the tank; and a step for causing the rope (121) to be pulled in by the endless winch (120) and conveying the inner vessel side plates (9), which are supported by the roller unit (100), in the circumferential direction of the tank.
