Title:
METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY PRODUCING GLUTATHIONE USING PHOTOSYNTHETIC CELL MEMBRANE VESICLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/114618
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing glutathione by combining a photosynthetic cell membrane vesicle and an enzyme that catalyzes glutathione synthesis, and by using glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine as reaction substrates. A method of using the enzyme that catalyzes glutathione synthesis includes a method of using gamma glutamylcysteine and glutathione synthetase together, or a method of using bifunctional glutathione synthetase. There has been a problem that expensive adenosine triphosphate must be continuously supplied in the synthesis of glutathione, but the present invention can continuously produce glutathione without additional input of adenosine triphosphate by using the photosynthetic cell membrane vesicle as a supply source of adenosine triphosphate, and thereby may significantly contribute to a reduction in the production costs of glutathione.
