Abstract:
The invention concerns a method of controlling the restoring force of a control unit for motor vehicles. The control unit may, for example, be an accelerator pedal or a twist-grip throttle, actuation of the control unit by the application of actuation force causing deflection of the control unit. A restoring force acts upon the control unit, said force being directed counter to the actuation force and in the direction of the starting position of the control unit, the control unit being deflected by a deflection angle ϕ. A rated angle ϕsoll of the deflection of the control unit is determined by a control loop, and an actual deflection ϕist of the control unit is determined. The restoring force on the control unit is modulated as a function of the difference between the actual deflection φist and the rated angle ϕsoll.
