Abstract:
The present invention measures (S2) the fuel cut duration (FCUTTIME) during a fuel cut of an internal combustion engine (1), and at the time of fuel cut recovery, sets (S4) the required fuel increase total amount (TFCUTINJ) to be imparted between the time when fuel supply resumes and the time when the fuel increase is completed on the basis of the fuel cut duration (FCUTTIME). The present invention obtains (S6) the fuel increase total amount (FCUTINJ) by adding up the fuel increase amounts of each cycle, and completes (S7, S8) the fuel increase amount when the fuel increase total amount (FCUTINJ) reaches the required fuel increase total amount (TFCUTINJ). When the detected value (rABFE) from an air-fuel ratio sensor (16) converges near a theoretical air-fuel ratio, the present invention transitions from an open-loop control to an air-fuel ratio feedback control (S9, S11).
