Abstract:
This method of controlling the amount of fuel injection for an internal combustion engine comprises: a target injection amount calculating step of calculating a target injection amount for injection from an injector; a per-constituent part wear amount estimating step of estimating a per-constituent part wear amount of each injector constituent part that is selected in advance as having an influence on the accuracy of the amount of fuel injection from the injector; a per-constituent part correction amount calculating step of calculating a per-constituent part correction amount for each injector constituent part on the basis of the per-constituent part wear amount; an overall correction amount calculating step of calculating an overall correction amount for the injector as a whole on the basis of the per-constituent part correction amount; and an overall correction amount reflecting step of causing the injector to inject a post-correction target injection amount obtained by correcting the target injection amount with the overall correction amount.
